SHAHRIN SAHIB possesses a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Computer Systems Engineering from Purdue University, United States and PhD in Parallel Processing from the University of Sheffield United Kingdom. In 2002, Shahrin started his academic career at Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (UTeM) where he held several prominent posts including the Deputy Dean (2002) and later Dean of the Faculty of Information Technology & Communications (2006), Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic & International) (2013) and currently as the Vice-Chancellor. He sits in the Accreditation Committee at Malaysian Qualification Agency (MQA) and Chair of the Computing Standard Committee. Besides contributing to the development of Malaysian Critical National Information Infrastructure (CNII) Policy and the National Cyber-Security Policy (NSCP), he also contributes to Cybersecurity Malaysia as a Member of the Malaysia Common Criteria (MyCC) Scheme Management Board. His current area of interest is in the field of Network and Computer Security.
Professor Ir. Dr. Mohd Hamdi Bin Abd Shukor

Professor Dr Mohd Hamdi Abd Shukor is a senior professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, University of Malaya. He started his academic career at the University of Malaya in 1994 and later joined the Department of Engineering Design and Manufacture in 1997. Prof Dr Hamdi has devoted his career in nurturing research and innovation and has mentored over 112 postgraduate students, particularly in the field of advanced machining and biomaterials. He is the founder and director of the Centre of Advanced Manufacturing and Material Processing (AMMP Centre) in 2003, which has grown to an interdisciplinary research hub. In partnership with international experts, AMMP Centre has successfully conducted research, in both fundamental and pre-commercialization stages, amounting to over RM15 million to date. Prof Dr Hamdi is a fellow of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (UK) and a charted engineer registered with the UK Engineering Council.
